Casa Grande Police Shoot Suspect in Neighborhood Incident

Yesterday afternoon, a suspect was shot by a Casa Grande police officer in a neighborhood just north of Cottonwood Lane and Pinal Avenue. The incident, which took place around 5:50 p.m., has left the suspect hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities were responding to reports of a suspicious person in the area when the shooting occurred. The details leading up to the shooting have not been disclosed by the police.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is now handling the investigation into the incident, and fortunately, no officers were harmed during the encounter.
