Gia Pergolini and Raoua Tlili Shine at the Paralympics

Friday was a day of triumph and celebration at the Paralympics in Paris as athletes from around the world showcased their incredible talents. Reigning champion Gia Pergolini made headlines by defending her women’s 100-meter backstroke S13 title, securing the first gold medal for the United States in spectacular fashion.

Brazil’s men’s goalball team kicked off their title defense with a 13-8 win over the United States in group play. Goalball, a sport for the vision impaired, requires immense skill and concentration, making every match intense and exhilarating.
