Two Students Arrested After Threats Directed at Pima County Schools
In a concerning turn of events, several schools in Pima County reported receiving threats on Sept. 6, leading to the arrest of two students, as confirmed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
Both Tucson police and the sheriff’s department have been inundated with reports of threats against local schools in southern Arizona. The safety of students is paramount, and law enforcement authorities have been swift to dispatch officers to provide protection on campuses. Detectives have initiated investigations into each threat, resulting in the arrest of two students. Despite the arrests, the investigation remains ongoing.
In a statement, the agency emphasized their commitment to taking every report seriously to ensure the safety of schools and the community remains their top priority.
