Teen Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near Lake Havasu City
A teenage motorcyclist sustained serious injuries on Saturday evening after being struck by an alleged impaired driver near Lake Havasu City in Mohave County, Arizona.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office reported that Dennis Chiappetta, 73, of California, was arrested after registering a blood alcohol content of 0.153 following a crash on London Bridge Road. Chiappetta collided with a motorcycle driven by a 16-year-old boy, who was ejected from the vehicle.
Despite wearing a helmet and safety gear, the teenager was injured and is now in stable condition, according to MCSO. The sheriff’s office determined that the suspect’s impairment was the primary cause of the collision.
