Eye Injuries Reported after Donald Trump Rally in TucsonStay Informed

Attendees of a recent Donald Trump rally in Tucson are left puzzled and in pain after experiencing severe eye irritation following the event.

The News 4 Tucson Investigators conducted exclusive interviews with six individuals who were seated behind the former president during the rally, three of whom shared their experiences on camera.

All six individuals reported experiencing eye irritation and sought medical attention for their symptoms, including Mayra Rodriguez, a former Planned Parenthood Director turned pro-life advocate and Trump supporter. Rodriguez, who had previously been seated behind Hillary Clinton during a 2016 event, described her eyes burning immediately after leaving the rally.

Initially attributing the issue to allergies, Rodriguez eventually sought emergency medical care upon returning home to Phoenix. Medical staff at the emergency room were initially suspicious that she had been sprayed with a substance due to her symptoms.

Despite doctors being unable to identify the exact cause of the injuries, Rodriguez’s vision has begun to improve, suggesting that the blindness may not be permanent.

Similar reports of eye injuries were also shared by others who were seated near Rodriguez at the event, with symptoms ranging from eye irritation and watering to facial flushing and neck pain.

When Rodriguez contacted the Trump campaign about the incident, she was informed that an investigation was underway. A statement from a Trump Senior Campaign Advisor confirmed that information was being collected and reiterated the campaign’s commitment to its supporters.

The U.S. Secret Service stated that they were not made aware of the situation but assured that there was no known threat to the former president.

The News 4 Tucson Investigators will continue to provide updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
