Responding to the Black Fire in Tonto National Forest
Reports of a fire in the Tonto National Forest have been circulating, with officials estimating the blaze has already consumed around 800 acres. The fire, dubbed the Black Fire, is believed to have been sparked by lightning and is currently located near Black Brush Ranch.
The Black Brush Ranch is not currently under threat from the fire, reassuring nearby residents. The area affected by the fire is situated just south of Roosevelt Lake and west of Apache Lake, near the county line between Maricopa and Gila counties.
One engine and fire crews are already on the scene, with additional resources being called in to combat the fire. Despite the growing concern, no evacuations have been ordered as of now.
