Support Phoenix Police Officers Injured in Line of Duty
Two brave Phoenix police officers are currently in the hospital after being shot while responding to a call about an attempted car break-in. One officer is in stable condition, while the other remains in critical condition.

Background of the Incident
The shooting suspect, Saul Bal, 41, has a history of prior convictions, including drug-related offenses and attempted burglary. Bal has now been charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with the shooting of the officers.
According to Arizona Department of Correction records, Bal had recently been on supervised release, with his sentence set to end just days after the shooting took place. He is currently being held on a $2 million cash-only bond.
Phoenix Police Chief Mike Sullivan described the incident as a “terrible night” for the department and the community, emphasizing the importance of support for the injured officers.
