Investigation Launched After Dog Shot in Mesa Neighborhood

Earlier today, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a dog being shot in a Mesa neighborhood. The wounded animal was quickly taken to a veterinarian for treatment.

According to the authorities, the incident took place around 10 a.m. near Ellsworth Road and Pueblo Avenue. Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered that the dog had been allegedly shot by its owner. The owner has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
