Deputies with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene of a devastating incident in Ash Fork, Arizona, where a 16-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after hitting and killing a woman while driving under the influence.

The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on Park Avenue near Third Street in Ash Fork. First responders arrived to find the woman with severe injuries, struggling to breathe. Despite efforts to save her, the woman tragically passed away.

Authorities suspect that the girl was impaired at the time of the accident, leading to charges of negligent homicide, manslaughter, aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an injury accident, excessive speed, reckless driving, and underage DUI. Additional DUI charges are pending the results of a blood test.
