Fire Involving Lithium Batteries Investigated by Phoenix Fire Department
The Phoenix Fire Department is currently investigating a fire that was reported on Monday afternoon near a warehouse located at Buckeye Road and 71st Avenue. Preliminary information suggests that the fire involved boxes containing lithium batteries outside of the warehouse, prompting the evacuation of the building. Fortunately, there is no immediate danger to the public, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
Despite the efforts of the firefighters, the cause of the fire is still unknown. The incident generated significant plumes of smoke that were visible from a camera positioned near Buckeye Road and the Loop 202.
