A fire has broken out in the northwest end of McDowell Mountain Regional Park, alarming residents and emergency services alike. The blaze has already consumed around 60 acres and shows no sign of stopping as it moves both east and west.
Current Situation
State and forest service resources have been deployed to combat the fire, with the Superstition crew working hard to contain it. Fortunately, there is currently no immediate threat to the nearby town of Fountain Hills, according to the local fire department.
Park Closure
Maricopa County officials have closed the park to ensure the safety of visitors and emergency responders. The closure will remain in place until the fire is fully under control.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends storing essentials such as water, food, first-aid supplies, and important documents in a portable, waterproof container.
