One of Vega’s former coworkers, Jelena Gamboa, vividly remembers the aftermath of the robbery. She recalls Vega’s shaken state, with scratches down her spine from the violent encounter. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Vega pressed on, determined to move past the harrowing experience.

Unfortunately, Vega’s ordeal was not an isolated incident. Other dancers from the same club fell victim to similar armed robberies in the following months, sparking fear and caution among the tight-knit community.
