Welcome to Taadidiin Tours – A Journey Through Antelope Canyon X
Taadidiin Tours is a family-owned company with the exclusive rights to give tours of the neighboring Cardiac Canyon and Antelope Canyon X. Located in Page, Arizona, Antelope Canyon X is a mesmerizing sight with its vibrant red and orange wave-like walls and enchanting light beams that attract photographers and nature enthusiasts from around the world.
But Antelope Canyon X offers more than just stunning visuals. It holds a rich history deeply rooted in the Navajo culture. It is where the Antelope Canyon Wash begins and where Logan Tsinigine’s great-great-grandfather, known as the Corn Pollen Man, sought refuge for his people during the turbulent times of the 1860s.
Tsinigine, the chief financial officer of Taadidiin Tours, shares that their family’s legacy is intertwined with the canyon, making it a sacred and safe space for generations. Since its establishment in 2016, Taadidiin Tours has flourished from a modest beginning with five employees and two vehicles to a thriving business with 50 full-time staff and a significant influx of tourists.
However, Taadidiin Tours is not just about sightseeing; it’s about storytelling. The company aims to educate visitors about the Navajo history, culture, and the enduring legacy of the Tadidinii family. By delving into the dark chapters of the past, the tours offer a deeper connection to the land and its people.
One of the ways Taadidiin Tours preserves and shares its heritage is through the Corn Pollen Internship program. This initiative introduces Navajo teenagers to their cultural roots, language, and various aspects of the tourism industry. The interns, who are descendants of Hastiin Tadidinii, serve as guides during tours and gain valuable knowledge about their heritage.
As visitors leave Antelope Canyon X, they don’t just take stunning photographs; they carry a piece of Navajo culture with them, fostering a deeper appreciation for the land and its history.
