His family said the tires on his mom’s car had just been replaced when the back rear tire blew out unexpectedly.
Tragedy struck the Harms family when their 11-year-old son, Donald, lovingly known as “Noley,” lost his life in a rollover crash caused by a blown tire on their way back home to Tucson. Described as funny, kind, and sweet, Donald’s presence will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
His family shared that Noley had a passion for football, puppets, and spending time with his siblings. His father, Brandon Bakken, emotionally recounted their special bond, reflecting on the cherished memories they shared and the pain of his sudden loss.
Despite the recent tire replacement, Noley’s mother struggled to control the SUV after the tire blew, leading to the devastating accident. His aunt, Stacia Rodriguez, expressed disbelief over the freak occurrence and the difficulty of coming to terms with the heartbreaking reality.
Amidst their profound grief, the family found solace in knowing that Noley’s organs have been donated to help others in need. His uncle, Aaron Rinker, shared the positive impact of Noley’s donations, bringing comfort in the midst of such a tragic loss.
To support the family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with funeral expenses and medical bills. Donations can be made here.
