The Shocking Theft at Cocopah Middle School PTA
Recently elected treasurer of the Cocopah Middle School PTA, Nubia Gonzalez, has found herself at the center of a scandal involving the alleged theft of $36,500 from the organization. What was meant to be a role of trust and responsibility has quickly turned into a criminal investigation.
The PTA’s president became suspicious when the organization’s savings accounts were discovered to have been emptied. Further investigation revealed that multiple unauthorized withdrawals had been made from the accounts between June 28 and July 1, leading to the shocking discovery of the missing funds.
Despite attempts to contact Gonzalez, it was revealed that the address she provided to SUSD was fraudulent, leaving authorities with no way to locate her. If you have any information regarding Gonzalez’s whereabouts, please contact Scottsdale police at 480-312-TIPS.
