Tragic Crash in North Phoenix Claims the Life of a Woman
It was a devastating night in north Phoenix as a two-vehicle crash at 35th and Grovers avenues led to the untimely death of a woman. The incident, which occurred around 6:30 p.m., has sparked an investigation by Phoenix police.
The woman, identified as 48-year-old Abagail Lopez Moreno, was a passenger in a vehicle that was turning left onto Grovers Avenue when tragedy struck. Another vehicle traveling south on 35th Avenue collided with the turning vehicle, causing fatal injuries to Lopez Moreno.
Despite the efforts of first responders, Lopez Moreno succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. While police do not suspect impairment played a role in the crash, a full reconstruction of the accident is pending before any charges are recommended.
The investigation into this devastating incident is ongoing as the community mourns the loss of a beloved individual.
