Glendale Woman Sentenced for Assaulting TSA Agent at Sky Harbor Airport
A shocking incident took place at Sky Harbor International Airport, where Ma’Kiah C. Coleman, a 20-year-old woman from Glendale, assaulted a TSA agent. This act of violence resulted in Coleman being sentenced to four months in prison.
According to reports from the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Arizona, Coleman attacked the agent by grabbing their hair, forcing their head down on a table, and repeatedly punching them with a closed fist. The assault led to the temporary closure of the security checkpoint at the airport while law enforcement responded.
As part of her sentencing, Coleman has been banned from traveling on a commercial aircraft for three years during her supervised release. She pleaded guilty to a charge of assault on a federal officer inflicting bodily injury.
