Friday Night Fever Sweet Play of the Week
The excitement of the 2024 high school football season continues into Week 2, along with the chance to vote for the Sweet Play of the Week and help a deserving player earn a $5,000 scholarship. Check out the top three nominated plays and cast your vote for your favorite!
Every week on Friday Night Fever, we showcase the top three plays from high school football games, known as “Sweet Plays”. It’s up to you to visit 12News.com/Fever and vote for the play you think deserves the title of Sweet Play of the Week!
At the end of the season, all the weekly winners will compete for a $5,000 scholarship, thanks to Sweet James Accident Attorneys.
After last week’s intense voting, a spectacular touchdown pass from Red Mountain’s Simon Lopez to Tyreke Cornett emerged as the first weekly winner!

- ALA-Queen Creek WR/RB RJ Lopez Jr.’s 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown
- McClintock WR Khalil Bender’s acrobatic touchdown catch over two defenders
- Hamilton CB Dajon Hinton’s 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown
