Hudson Tenuto: A Teen with a Heart of Gold

Turning 13 is a big milestone for any kid, but for Hudson Tenuto, it’s a chance to make a difference. Instead of focusing on presents and parties, Hudson is using his birthday to raise money for the Gentry Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps parents afford autism evaluations for their children.

Hudson’s philanthropic journey started years ago when he began using his birthdays to give back to the community. His first initiative was with the “Almost There” foundation, where he raised funds to buy food for shelter pets in need. Now, he’s taking his charitable efforts to the next level by hosting a skate-a-thon at Arcadia Ice in Phoenix.

When asked about his passion for skating, Hudson said, “I like going really fast.” It’s a hobby that he indulges in five times a week, and now, it’s also a way for him to connect with kids in the Valley who need help with autism evaluations.

Former NHL Hockey Player Keith Carney has joined forces with Hudson to support his skate-a-thons. Carney highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the cost of autism evaluations, with some exceeding $1,000. Hudson believes that early detection can make a significant difference in a child’s life, as it did for him.
