Tragic Accident Claims the Life of 39-Year-Old Woman in Arizona
Tragedy struck in the Thumb Butte area near Prescott, Arizona, as 39-year-old Kristin Little lost her life in a devastating car accident. Her vehicle veered off a cliff and plummeted 1,000 feet, leading to the fatal incident.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was quick to respond to the scene after receiving a distress call about a car which had fallen off a cliff in the Thumb Butte area, approximately two miles away from Copper Basin Road. Upon reaching the site, deputies discovered the vehicle at the bottom of a steep mountainside. Tragically, inside the car, they found the lifeless body of Kristin Little.
Reports indicate that Little was ejected from the car as it plunged 500 feet, ultimately leading to her untimely demise. Despite conducting thorough searches using drones and a helicopter, no other victims were found at the scene.
Due to the challenging terrain and fading daylight, YCSO deputies opted to postpone the retrieval of Little’s body until the following morning. Throughout the night, personnel remained with her until they were able to successfully recover her and transport her to the medical examiner’s office.
Initial investigations suggest that Little was traveling northbound on Thumb Butte Road when the tragic accident occurred. Authorities believe she swerved to the left, causing her vehicle to veer off the road and careen down the mountainside. The incident remains under investigation as officials seek to understand the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
