The Stunning Stunt Tom Cruise Pulled Off at the Paris Olympics

When it comes to daring stunts, Tom Cruise is no stranger. But his recent appearance at the Paris Olympics took things to a whole new level. The Hollywood star wowed audiences with a death-defying stunt as he carried the Olympic flag through the streets of Paris to close out the 2024 Games.

What makes this all the more impressive is that Cruise did it all for free. Yes, you read that right. Despite the complexity and danger of the stunt, Cruise generously offered his talents to make the Olympic moment even more memorable.

The action began as Cruise leaped off the Stade du France, made his way through a crowd of Olympians, and received the Olympic flag from L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and gymnast Simone Biles. He then hopped onto a motorcycle and embarked on a thrilling journey across Paris before skydiving into the Hollywood hills.

For someone like Cruise, who is known for doing his own stunts in films, this was a challenge right up his alley. And despite the expectations of a hefty paycheck, Cruise opted to do it all for the thrill of the experience.

According to Casey Wasserman, chairman of the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Cruise’s involvement was a pleasant surprise. The original plan involved a stunt double, but Cruise insisted on doing it all himself, without charging a dime.

After wrapping up filming for the next “Mission: Impossible” movie, Cruise flew from London to Los Angeles to film the spectacular Olympic closing scene. His commitment and passion for the project shone through as he pulled off multiple jumps and helicopter rides to capture the perfect shots.

As for the future, Wasserman hinted at the possibility of seeing the Olympic rings on the iconic Hollywood sign for the 2028 Summer Olympics. While nothing is set in stone yet, it’s clear that the partnership between Cruise and the Olympics is one for the books.
