Three Arrested in Multi-Agency Sting to Catch Sexual Predators in Holbrook

Authorities in Holbrook have reported the successful apprehension of three individuals involved in a multi-agency sting operation targeting sexual predators. Bobby King, 43, of Lakeside, Jimmy Matlock, 43, of Concho, and Rumaldo Pedraza, 44, of Show Low, were taken into custody during the sting, according to Navajo County officials.

“I want to thank all law enforcement agencies who supported and helped out with this operation in Navajo County,” said Sheriff David M. Clouse.

The arrests included charges such as aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, attempted sexual conduct with a minor, and child sex trafficking. Pinetop-Lakeside Police Chief Dan Barnes stated, “The operation was a success in targeting individuals who seek to cause harm to minors in our communities.”

The sting involved the collaboration of multiple agencies, including the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office, Show Low Police Department, Snowflake-Taylor Police Department, and others.

Parental Awareness and Safety

Authorities emphasize the importance of parents talking to their children about the dangers of the internet and social media. Ensuring proper parental controls are in place is crucial to safeguarding children online.
