Remembering Rob “Rabbit” Pitts: A Tribute to a Netflix Star

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Rob “Rabbit” Pitts, a beloved Netflix and social media star, who lost his battle with stomach cancer. The automotive community has lost a legend, but his memory will live on forever.

Rob Pitts, known for his role in the popular Netflix series Tex Mex Motors, passed away at the age of 45. His videographer shared the heartbreaking news on his YouTube channel, confirming his passing on 08/25/2024.

In a message to fans, his videographer Jeff wrote, “He will be missed, and we will never forget him.” A goodbye video was also posted on Pitts’ YouTube page, allowing fans to pay their respects and share their memories.

After news of his passing spread, tributes poured in from fans and fellow automotive enthusiasts. One commenter wrote, “This is so heartbreaking… RIP to Rob ‘Rabbit’ Pitts, an absolute legend in the automotive community.”

Rob Pitts rose to fame with his viral social media clips and his role in the Netflix series Tex Mex Motors. The show followed Pitts and his partner Scooter Carrera as they scouted vintage cars along the U.S.-Mexico border, restoring and selling them for a profit. Tex Mex Motors premiered on Netflix in June 2023, captivating audiences with their adventures and passion for classic cars.

While season 2 of Tex Mex Motors has yet to be released, Rob “Rabbit” Pitts will be remembered for his charismatic personality, his love for cars, and his impact on the automotive community. Rest in peace, Rabbit.
