A shocking incident took place near the Arizona Capitol building at 16th Avenue and Van Buren Street, where a body was discovered early Monday morning, as confirmed by the city’s police department.

It all started when a Phoenix Fire Department crew noticed an unresponsive individual while on their way to another service call the previous night. Upon further examination, it was determined that the man was deceased and showed signs of trauma.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives, although the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
