The Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management is urging residents in the Cordes Lakes area to prepare for potential evacuations as the Quail Run Fire continues to burn. It is essential to have essential supplies ready and be prepared to leave when advised.

Multiple fire agencies are actively battling the fire in the YCU-2324, YCU-2333, and YCU-2330 zones. Residents can check the map to see the affected areas and verify if their address is in danger.

The Red Cross and Animal Disaster Services have set up a temporary evacuation point at Mayer High School for those who need shelter. Stay updated on the situation by following the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook.

Wildfire Go-Kit:

Residents in wildfire-prone areas are advised to prepare an emergency supplies kit in case of evacuation. The National Fire Protection Association recommends storing essential supplies such as water, food, first aid kit, medications, and important documents in a waterproof container.
