Welcome to our blog, where we bring you the latest updates on a heart-wrenching case of international parental kidnapping. Aaron Aung, a Moscow father, is now facing federal charges after allegedly kidnapping his two-year-old daughter earlier this month.
The dramatic turn of events started with a custody exchange between Aung and his daughter’s mother, Samara Harmon, in late May. Aung was supposed to return his daughter to Harmon on June 3 in Whitman County, but things took a dark turn when Aung’s fiancée, Nadia Cole, went missing after leaving SeaTac Airport.
According to court documents, Aung and his daughter were found in Mexico on July 4, with Cole also in tow. Mexican officials eventually handed Aung and his daughter over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection near Nogales, Arizona.
Aung now faces charges of first-degree custodial interference, and the legal battle continues to unfold. Stay tuned to our blog for more updates on this developing story.
