Weekend Road Closures and Detours in the Valley
Are you ready for the weekend and looking forward to some relaxation? Before you hit the road for your weekend getaway, be sure to check out the closures and detours on Valley roads. Here’s what you need to know:
Interstate 10 Closures
The westbound lanes of I-10 will be closed between Loop 202 and the US 60 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for paving and a traffic shift. Several ramps will also be closed, including the westbound I-10 on-ramp at Wild Horse Pass Boulevard and the westbound US 60 off-ramps at McClintock Drive, Rural Road, and Mill Avenue. A detour is available via eastbound Loop 202 to northbound Loop 101 and westbound Loop 202. If you’re heading to the Cardinals game on Sunday, consider using westbound/northbound Loop 202 to reach I-10 near 59th Avenue.
Loop 101 Closures
The eastbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th and 51st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Bell Road and Union Hills Drive will also be closed during this time. A detour is available along the eastbound Loop 101 Beardsley frontage road or using local streets like Union Hills Drive to northbound 51st Avenue.
