Witnesses in north Phoenix were startled on Sunday morning as a man was shot during a robbery attempt. Phoenix Police Department officials reported that the incident occurred near 28th Street and Cactus Road around 9 a.m.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound, was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department. Details regarding the victim’s condition were not immediately disclosed.

According to Phoenix officers, the victim, after being robbed and shot, managed to return fire. It remains uncertain if any other individuals were injured during the altercation.

Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen two suspects fleeing the scene. Following this, law enforcement officers apprehended the suspects for further investigation.
