Phoenix police: Juvenile in custody for pointing handgun at school bus
SHARE

The morning commute for students at a Phoenix school took a terrifying turn when a juvenile male reportedly pointed a handgun at a school bus near 16th and Missouri avenues. Thankfully, the incident did not result in any shots fired, but it was enough to put a nearby school on lockdown as a precaution.

Police quickly responded to the scene and were able to apprehend the suspect without further incident. According to investigators, the suspect had been arguing with a student on the bus before pulling out the firearm as the victim tried to leave.

The swift action of law enforcement ensured the safety of all those involved, and the nearby school was able to resume normal activities once the suspect had been taken into custody. The juvenile suspect’s identity was not released, but the incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers faced by students and staff on a daily basis.
