Driver Hospitalized After Medical Emergency Causes Crash in Phoenix Parking Lot
Officials have reported that a driver was rushed to the hospital on Monday afternoon after experiencing a medical emergency and colliding with a police cruiser in a parking lot near 83rd Avenue and Camelback Road.
The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that the officer in the cruiser was unharmed during the incident, while the driver who had the medical emergency was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment by the Phoenix Fire Department.
According to authorities, the crash took place on private property, resulting in the driver’s vehicle striking the unmarked police car.
“A citizen was driving in the parking lot and had a medical emergency,” stated a police news release. “During this medical emergency, his vehicle collided with the unmarked police car.”
