Over the weekend, a tragic incident unfolded at a house party in the West Valley area of Phoenix. According to the Phoenix Police Department, a 33-year-old man, Humberto Ortiz, lost his life in a shooting that took place during the early hours of Saturday morning near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road.
As per reports, officers responded to a call at a home on the 2800 block of 48th Lane at around 4:20 a.m. When they arrived, they found Ortiz suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts to save him, Ortiz succumbed to his injuries at the scene. It was determined that the shooter had fled before law enforcement arrived.
