Hit the Road with These Weekend Road Trip Tips

As the temperatures start to cool down and fall approaches, it’s the perfect time to plan a weekend road trip before winter sets in. However, before you pack your bags and hit the road, there are a few closures and detours in the Valley that you need to be aware of.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has shared updates on road closures and detours for the upcoming weekends. Here are some important reminders:

  • I-10 westbound will be closed between SR 143 and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday
  • I-17 southbound will be closed at Loop 303 from Friday to Monday
  • Other closures include Loop 202 WB, I-10 EB, and I-10 WB at various locations

For a detailed list of current closures and detours, visit the ADOT website.
