A Glendale police officer sustained minor injuries in a crash while responding to reports of a drowning incident on Friday. The incident occurred at a apartment complex near Maryland and 67th avenues, where a child was found unresponsive in a pool.

As the officers were rushing to the scene with lights and sirens on, another car failed to yield and turned left in front of the officer, resulting in a collision near Glendale and 73rd avenues. While the officer suffered minor injuries, everyone in the other vehicle is expected to be okay.
