According to arrest documents, Weaver admitted to watching child porn and engaging in the distribution of inappropriate material involving children. Despite being arrested on over a dozen counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, he was never formally charged with a crime.
The investigation began back in March when Queen Creek police were alerted by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about suspicious activity at an IP Address in Weaver’s residence. The police report, spanning 60 pages, detailed the disturbing findings during a search warrant execution at Weaver’s home.
Weaver’s confession to detectives revealed his addiction to pornography, including child pornography. He claimed to have downloaded what he thought was “AI pornography” but was shocked to discover child abuse material in his possession. Detectives found 13 files depicting child pornography, with victims ranging from under one year old to teenagers around 15 years old.
Despite the evidence found, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute the case due to a lack of sufficient evidence. This decision has left many community members outraged and concerned about the safety of children in the neighborhood.
Advocate Kayleigh Kozak has been vocal about the case, urging for justice to be served. She highlighted the lack of action taken against Weaver, who has been seen attending community events with children present despite the serious allegations against him.
While Weaver’s defense attorney claims there is not enough evidence to charge him with a crime, the case remains unresolved. The Maricopa County Attorney’s office has yet to make a decision on whether to pursue charges against Weaver.
