Celebrating the legacy of the late Chester Bennington, Linkin Park has returned with a new lineup and their first new music since his passing in 2017 at the age of 41.

The band kicked off a livestream to introduce their new singer, Emily Armstrong, and drummer, Colin Brittain, who join original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. Shinoda and Armstrong share vocal duties, with Armstrong’s performance style paying homage to Bennington without imitating him. Their new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” and classics like “Somewhere I Belong” showcased Armstrong’s powerful vocals.

Announcing a new album titled “From Zero,” set to release on Nov. 15, the band shared their excitement for this new chapter. Linkin Park has been one of the most commercially successful acts of the 2000s, with Bennington’s vocals playing a significant role in their success. His tragic death was a loss felt deeply by fans worldwide.

Reflecting on their journey, Shinoda shared, “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking.”

Armstrong, known for her work with Dead Sara, and Brittain, a talented songwriter and producer, bring a fresh energy to the band. Their collaboration has resulted in new music that stays true to Linkin Park’s signature sound while exploring new sonic avenues.

The band also announced the “From Zero World Tour,” with shows scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, and Seoul, culminating in a show in Bogotá, Colombia in November.
