Early this morning, Phoenix police received a distress call about a man who had been struck by a vehicle after intentionally running into traffic. The incident occurred at 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

The man was found with serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication, according to the police.

Authorities suspect that the man purposely ran into traffic with the intention of getting hit, but his identity has not been disclosed.
