Welcome to our blog! Today we are thrilled to share an inspiring story about St. Louis native Freddie Crittenden, who is currently pursuing his Olympic dreams in Paris. What makes his journey even more special is the unwavering support of his uncle and St. Louis sports legend, Kurt Warner.

In a heartwarming social media post shared by Kurt’s wife Brenda, the proud couple expressed their excitement as they cheered on their nephew in Paris. Brenda’s words perfectly captured the sentiment, stating, “What a dream and accomplishment for Freddie! Kurt is giddy with excitement living through Freddie as an Olympic athlete.”

Crittenden, a former student of McCluer North High School, recently achieved a significant milestone by advancing to the finals of the 110-meter hurdles after an impressive performance in the semi-final race. This achievement prompted an ecstatic response from Kurt Warner on Twitter, who simply exclaimed, “YEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!”

What sets Crittenden’s journey apart is his unconventional path to the finals. In a bold move, he strategically utilized the repechage round to manage an injury and secure his spot in the competition. Reflecting on his decision to jog slowly during the preliminary round, Crittenden emphasized the importance of prioritizing his well-being and family above all else.

His calculated strategy paid off when he emerged victorious in his repechage heat, clocking an impressive time of 13.42 seconds and paving his way to the semi-finals. With the opportunity to bring home Team USA’s first gold medal in the event since 2012, Crittenden holds the hopes and dreams of many on his shoulders.

As he gears up for the finals, the support and encouragement from his uncle Kurt Warner continue to fuel his determination and perseverance. Kurt’s poignant reflection on the Olympic experience further underscores the magnitude of this moment for all athletes striving to be the best in the world.

We are immensely proud of Freddie Crittenden and wish him the best of luck in his pursuit of Olympic glory. Stay tuned for more updates on his incredible journey and the unwavering support from his family and fans.
