Kendrick Lamar to Headline Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show
LOS ANGELES — Kendrick Lamar, the Grammy-winning rap artist, is set to take center stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. The announcement came from the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation, confirming Lamar as the headliner for the highly-anticipated event on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome.
Lamar, who has 17 Grammy wins under his belt, expressed his excitement about bringing hip-hop to the NFL’s grandest stage. Notably, he previously appeared as a guest artist alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg during the 2022 Super Bowl.
“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,” Lamar stated. “And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
Having achieved significant success since his debut album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” in 2012, Lamar continues to make waves in the music industry. His latest album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” released in 2022, has been well-received, with hits like “Like That” and “Not Like Us” dominating the charts.
