Justin Timberlake Drunk Driving Case Update

Justin Timberlake to Enter New Plea in Drunk Driving Case

Pop sensation Justin Timberlake is set to enter a new plea in his drunken driving case in New York’s Hamptons. The singer was arrested on June 18 after running a stop sign in the village center, veering out of his lane, and getting out of his BMW smelling of alcohol.

According to prosecutors, Timberlake has agreed to plead guilty to a less serious offense than the original charge of driving while intoxicated. His attorney, Edward Burke, has declined to comment on the matter but Timberlake is scheduled to appear in person in Sag Harbor Village Court to enter his plea.

Despite initially pleading not guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge, a judge suspended Timberlake’s right to drive in New York at a hearing last month. His lawyer maintains that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest and believes the case should be dropped.

Timberlake, a 10-time Grammy winner known for his boy band roots and successful solo career, began as a Disney Mouseketeer before rising to fame with NSYNC. Sag Harbor, where the incident took place, is a historic village nestled in the Hamptons, referenced in Herman Melville’s “Moby-Dick.”

Stay tuned for more updates on Justin Timberlake’s legal proceedings.
