Janitor Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Student at Thunderbird High School

Shocking news has emerged from Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, where a janitor, Oscar Sandoval, 48, was arrested on September 5 for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a 16-year-old student on school grounds. The victim came forward to report the abuse, leading to Sandoval’s arrest.

The victim, now 17 years old, revealed disturbing details of the abuse she suffered at the hands of Sandoval. She described a “friendly relationship” with the janitor, who took advantage of her vulnerability and trust. The abuse reportedly took place during a high school football game in 2023, when Sandoval kissed the victim and later engaged in inappropriate behavior with her in different parts of the school.

According to court documents, Sandoval admitted to the sexual conduct on school grounds during a conversation with the victim on Instagram, where he acknowledged her status as a minor. This admission led to his arrest on charges of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse, and assault with intent to injure a minor.

The Glendale Union High School district responded swiftly to the situation by terminating Sandoval’s employment. A spokesperson for the district issued a statement, confirming the arrest and termination of the employee involved in the incident.
