Tragic Incident in Glendale: Man Shot by Police
Tragedy struck in Glendale, Arizona as a man was shot and killed by police officers during a domestic disturbance on Wednesday. According to Jose Santiago, public information officer with the Glendale Police Department, the man had violated a protective order and barricaded himself inside a home just after noon.
Thankfully, a woman and a child managed to escape safely from the residence. However, the situation escalated when the suspect started firing shots at the officers during negotiations. In response, the officers returned fire, ultimately resulting in the suspect’s death. Fortunately, no officers were injured in the altercation.
The Surprise Police Department will be leading the investigation into the shooting. This is a developing story, and 12News will continue to provide updates as they unfold.
