Grant Killewald, a Phoenix 7th grader, has recently joined an award-winning international team of 27 student journalists to report news specifically tailored for kids. Being selected as a Scholastic Kid Reporter, Grant is now part of a unique opportunity to share stories that resonate with young readers.
Having a passion for history, politics, and geography, Grant underwent a rigorous application process to secure this coveted position. His dedication and love for storytelling have paid off, as he is now ready to delve into topics close to his heart, such as the upcoming election and the work of the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary.
As Grant embarks on this exciting journey, he will work closely with Suzanne McCabe, the editor of Scholastic Kids Press, to pitch and write articles that interest him. With his stories reaching over 13 million students through Scholastic Magazines, Grant’s voice will be heard far and wide.
