Arizona Weather What is the Valley?

Escape the scorching heat of the Valley and venture up to Bellemont, Arizona, where residents experienced a rare freeze with temperatures dropping to 32 degrees on Friday morning. This chilly weather marked the first freeze in 103 days for the area, signaling the arrival of winter. The National Weather Service in Flagstaff humorously declared, “Told you winter was coming!” on X.

Just a few weeks ago, snow blanketed the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort located near Flagstaff, adding to the cool winter vibes in the region. While the Valley may still be sweltering, there is hope on the horizon as temperatures are expected to dip below 100 degrees this weekend.

According to forecasts, Sunday’s high is projected to reach 99 degrees with a chance of rain, potentially marking the first double-digit temperature since May 26. As we anticipate cooler weather in the Valley, let’s enjoy a brief respite from the summer heat.
