Reports indicate that the tragic incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes at SR 347.

Shortly after 7 a.m., ADOT made the decision to close the roadway. As of now, there is no estimated time for reopening, and commuters should anticipate significant delays.
