Authorities in Phoenix are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in west Phoenix, resulting in the tragic death of 47-year-old Latisha Sterling. The incident took place near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road around 9:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found Sterling lying injured on the road. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities have stated that there were no signs of impairment.

It is believed that Sterling was attempting to cross Indian School Road outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and further details have not been released at this time.
