The incident at West Phoenix High School on Tuesday afternoon has left the community shocked. A student was arrested on suspicion of bringing a firearm onto the school premises. The Phoenix Police Department responded to the call and quickly apprehended the student who was found in possession of the weapon.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the firearm. School officials at West Phoenix High School assured the public that they were cooperating fully with law enforcement. It was also revealed that the firearm found in the student’s backpack was not loaded, providing some relief in an otherwise tense situation.
