A woman was recently arrested after causing a series of crashes and driving into a Phoenix police cruiser, as reported by the Phoenix Police Department. The incidents occurred on Wednesday evening in central Phoenix near 32nd Street and Indian School Road.
The investigation into the incident began at 5:15 p.m. when dispatch received reports of a car driving erratically and causing several crashes. Police did not specify the exact number of vehicles involved in the collisions.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the driver, a woman, still operating the vehicle. Despite attempts to get her to stop driving and exit the car, she refused to comply.
“The woman refused to obey commands and drove at a marked police Tahoe, striking it before fleeing eastbound on Indian School Road,” police stated. The police cruiser sustained minor damage as a result.
Law enforcement officers continued to pursue the woman, ultimately locating her and the vehicle in the vicinity of 44th Street and Indian School Road, where she was apprehended.
Further investigations are ongoing related to the incident, and the woman will face multiple charges in connection with the crashes.
