Welcome to the DOJ Meeting Recap
Exciting news! The Department of Justice recently held an online meeting to discuss the progress made since releasing a scathing report on the Phoenix Police Department’s practices.
Earlier this summer, the DOJ’s three-year-long investigation uncovered alleged constitutional rights violations against minorities and the homeless population by the Phoenix Police Department. This investigation could potentially result in a consent decree, allowing the federal government to reform police departments nationwide. Some Valley leaders are against this decree.
To address the report’s developments, the DOJ will host a public Zoom meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m. Participants can register using this link.
