Exciting news for sports fans! The largest broadcaster of regional sports networks in the country will continue to bring you all the action, even as it navigates through bankruptcy proceedings.
Diamond Sports Group, the powerhouse behind the Bally-branded regional sports networks, has secured agreements to televise games for 13 NBA teams and nine NHL teams through the 2024-2025 season. This means you can still catch all the thrilling moments from your favorite teams.
David Preschlack, Diamond’s CEO, expressed gratitude for the ongoing collaborations with the NBA and NHL, emphasizing the importance of these long-term partnerships. He highlighted the new agreements as a significant milestone in their journey towards emergence, promising to deliver value to fans while serving dedicated local NBA, NHL, and MLB audiences.
As part of the recent deals, DSG will no longer carry games for the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans. These agreements are pending approval from a federal bankruptcy judge, with the next hearing scheduled for September 3rd in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
The teams impacted by Friday’s announcement include the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, and San Antonio Spurs for the NBA, as well as the Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Tampa Bay Lightning for the NHL.
DSG also features Major League Baseball games in their broadcasts, which remain unaffected by the recent filings. So get ready to cheer on your favorite teams and enjoy the thrill of live sports, courtesy of Diamond Sports Group!
