Arizona Diamondbacks Extend Winning Streak

Arizona Diamondbacks Extend Winning Streak

The Arizona Diamondbacks continued their hot streak with an impressive 18-5 record since the All-Star break. Their latest victory came against the Colorado Rockies, where they secured a 5-4 win on Monday night to extend their winning streak to four games.

In the seventh inning, Corbin Carroll and Kevin Newman scored on consecutive wild pitches, propelling the Diamondbacks to victory. Joc Pederson’s patient at-bat allowed Carroll to score the tying run, while Newman’s aggressive baserunning put them ahead.

Key contributors to the Diamondbacks’ win included Jake McCarthy with two hits and two RBIs, as well as strong pitching from Brandon Pfaadt, who recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts over seven innings.

The Rockies initially took a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning, but the Diamondbacks staged a comeback with run-scoring hits from Bell and McCarthy, eventually securing the win.

Upcoming Matchup

Next, the Diamondbacks will face the Colorado Rockies, with Eduardo Rodriguez taking the mound for Arizona, while Austin Gomber will pitch for the Rockies.
